I’ve become addicted to Pinterest. Who hasn’t? But I keep getting all this wedding inspiration, photography inspiration, and even home inspiration that I think to myself “If only my clients could be inspired by this too!” So I figured…why not? Maybe I’ll keep sharing from my weekly Pinterest browsings, but for not we’ll leave it with this particular inspiration:
Succulents. We’ve been seeing them pop up recently throughout wedding magazines & blogs, decor & design websites, and of course Pinterest. I did quite a bit of research on Succulents, because I needed a hardy plant that I couldn’t kill. If Martha Stewart has a green thumb, then mine is more like red. I just cannot keep things alive (plants I mean, Craig and Lucy are still thriving…for now). Cactus are actually a form of succulent, so basically you should be able to starve them most of the week and they’ll still hold up. Needless to say, mine aren’t doing so well. But I think they might need a bit more sun. I thought we had plenty on our balcony, but it looks like the area actually stays in the shade most of the day. I’m still working on a new plan to make my Purple Hen & Chicks thrive.
bouquets. It give such a natural, casual, organic feel to the decor. Not only that but I will also say that the one thing that always saddens me while shooting weddings is watching the brides gorgeous bouquet go from being vibrant and beautiful at the beginning of the day to becoming droopy and sad later in the day. Most florists can tell you a little as to how your flowers should respond to the weather conditions throughout today. But let’s be honest, there is very little that can stand this Texas summer heat for very long. But I bet these hardy babies would endure just fine. Take a look.
