Yep still backtracking here on the ole blog. I thought I would highlight one of my favorite family sessions. Jonathan and I were friends in college, and there is one thing I will always remember about Jonathan…he laughed alot and it was pretty contagious laughter too. Fast forward a few years, and I’m pretty sure he passed on that smile and contagious laughter to his son. Take a look at this little guy, Austin. He’s the spitting image of his mom and dad, and he’s was a barrel of laughs and grins….especially when his photographer was willing to hit herself in the head over and over again with a football. I mean, who wouldn’t find that funny, right? I have never had a kiddo find me so funny. Big ego boost, for sure. Here’s the faves of this super cute family…

A few months ago, my sweet friend Natalie, asked me to do a few photos of her little Hank to celebrate his one year birthday! We headed outdoors and this little guy could not have been more compliant, despite the slight nip in the air. He’s a little daredevil, just like his daddy, so he made me nervous with his attempts to climb on chairs, jump on chairs (or OFF!), etc. But we had his mama (extremely) close by to jump in when needed, preventing any possibility of accidents. Well, Craig and Megan asked me to do a session for them prior to their engagement. They both knew they would be getting engaged shortly, and wanted a session that would really capture their personalities, their interests, and their relationship….not to mention their pets! We started out in downtown Grapevine and ended up in a nature area not far away. We had the perfect light, and Craig and Megan couldn’t have been more laid back and hilarious! Their “furbabies” did pretty well too, and we ended the day with a little play time in the lake as a reward. I have to also add that Craig asked Megan to be his bride only a few days after our session, so they’ll be tying the knot later this year! Congrats you two, and thank you for an awesome day!

So I have been on a hiatus from blogging. A LOOONG hiatus. It wasn’t intentional, but we’ve had a number of things (GOOD things) going on in our lives, and well, I’m not the best blogger anyway. But I am hoping to get back into the groove with a few updates and hopefully alot more blogging. So for now, I’m going to work backwards, starting with the latest and hopefully ending up where I left off!
Starting with Eric and Kandace! These two were referred to me by the lovely Lauren Chism. Lauren and I met at Thursday Therapy, a networking event for wedding professionals) several months ago. She is a true artist when it comes to all things paper, so for those of you looking for a personalized Save the Date, Invitation, or Announcement…she’s your girl! But back to the fabulous Kandace and Eric. This is one super fun couple, with such a sweet connection. From hanging out with them, you instantly know they are great together. They’ll be getting married early this fall, and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Ashley found me through The Knot, and I am so glad she did. Unfortunately, I was already booked for her wedding date, but at least I got the chance to get to know this beauty and her mom during Ashley’s bridal session. She trusted me to drag her all the way to a random field/dog park in Dallas, without even meeting me in person! I can’t believe it. I had a gorgeous sunset to work with, lots of fun accessories, and a stunning bride. What photographer could ask for more? Congratulations Ashley & Bryce! I wish you all the happiness in the world!
